WorksAsExplained publishes plain-language how-to guides for the tech problems that come up over and over: slow Wi-Fi, disappearing storage, backups nobody set up, batteries that drain too fast. The goal of every guide is the same — get you to a working fix, explain why it works, and tell you what to check if it doesn't.
Anyone who wants their devices to just work, without needing to become a systems administrator to get there. No assumed background knowledge, no unnecessary jargon.
Each guide is researched, tested against current versions of the relevant software or hardware, and revised when things change. If a guide goes out of date, it gets updated rather than left to rot.
WorksAsExplained is written and run by Muhammad Zakria. Every guide on this site is researched and tested by one person, which is also why the site sticks to a manageable set of topics rather than trying to cover everything.
We don't accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage of a specific product. Where a guide recommends a category of product (like an external drive or a backup tool) rather than a specific model, that's a deliberate choice to keep advice useful longer.
